AN ACTIVE CHURCH
Bringing Good News to the West End
We hope you will find a warm welcome when you come to Partick Trinity Church. We work at being a friendly and active Church of Scotland congregation. We have a large parish and our aim is to bring the Good News to every home in our area. We do this in various ways...
Partick Trinity at the Farmers' Market
The Partick Farmers Market is currently held at Dowanhill Primary School on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. At these times, our church is open to everyone 10am-12 for free tea, coffee and home baking.
We organise a two-week visitation every year, covering about a third of our parish. We try to knock on every door, making information available about our congregation and inviting people to attend an Alpha Course or Christianity Explored course. We also invite them to take advantage of events at our church. During the past few years, we have been asking people to complete a quick questionnaire as part of a survey of the parish.
At Easter, Christmas and Harvest we prepare special leaflets and deliver them to every home in our parish. In these leaflets, we bring people God's Word in a variety of different ways. Last Christmas, we also delivered a free wall calendar to every house.
On The Move
Members of our church link up with other denominations to run On The Move events in various areas of the West End. Depending on the time of year, we invite people to have a free hamburger or cup of soup, which gives us an opportunity to talk to them and let them know what the church is doing in this part of Glasgow.
Partick Trinity also runs and supports lots of fun projects and events for children and young people. There's something for all ages. For more details, see the Youth Work page.
